The University of Minnesota has approved both Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Haifa University in Haifa for inclusion in the nations largest study abroad program. The Technion, another top University in Haifa, has not been added to that list. However this does not mean that students cannot study there. The UofM’s Learning Abroad Center is committed to assisting you with the little bit of extra work to get approval for study at other Israeli institutions. Also worth noting is that while studying at Haifa University, students can chose to take a class at the Tehnion free of charge (included in tuition).
The Technion excels in a number of science and engineering subjects. Top programs include:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Civil and Environmental Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Food and Biotechnology Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Biology
